Shadow Shot Sunday 132: A Visit from Mr. Lizard

While we were staying in a rented condo in the Texas Hill Country earlier this month, this little lizard showed up on our patio one morning. I just happened to have the camera handy, so I was able to get a snap before he scampered off into the abelia bushes. Also caught a bit of the barbecue grill (which I thought about cropping out, but decided I liked the way it looked so left it in).

  3. Nice shot. Glad you didn't crop out the grill. It helps to show the size of the little lizard. Plus it gives your picture two shadows. Thanks for sharing!!

  7. I'm glad you left the grill in the photo -- it has a great shadow as well. But I really do like the lizard and his shadow. Well done!

  8. SHADOW-CHASER

    Chasing shadows here and there,
    Chasing shadows everywhere;
    Chasing shadows in the park;
    Chasing shadows long past dark;
    Chasing shadows through the light;
    Chasing shadows day and night—
    Shadow-chaser, don’t you see?
    Shadows were just meant to be!

  9. When you are in Texas you can find anything you want. Even old towns with blue signs.
