Haven't posted anything on Joysweb for a couple of weeks. Real life has been getting just a little too real lately. So I thought I'd jump back in with a Saturday Snapshot. This meme is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books, and as she says: "To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online."
I snapped this photo of a family of Segway riders on the Mall in Washington DC last month after a visit to the National Gallery. I tried to get a shot of them coming at me, but they nearly rolled right over me -- so I had to be satisfied with the rear view.
Ha, gotta be careful of those crazy segway riders. A back view is fine!
ReplyDeleteI still find that whole Segway thing a little odd. We have security around our apartments and one of them rides a Segway. It's just strange. LOL
ReplyDeleteI had never even heard of Segway riding until a vacation a couple of years ago in the Napa Valley. The resort had Segway riding available. I didn't participate, though. Wine trains are more my speed! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog.
I've never seen these before. Very different.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen Segways on TV. I'd definitely love to try one. Looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteHi!

I've always wanted to try one of those because they look like they'd be a blast! I've never seen a whole family ride by like that though. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great way to get around.
ReplyDeleteThese look great fun. Have seen them but not tried them.
ReplyDeletehave a good week

They have these to rent so you can roll around downtown San Antonio. How that works with all the stairs to the Riverwalk, I have no idea. I would like to try but won't because knowing me, I would fall off. And besides, I don't look good in helmet hair.
