Saturday Snapshot: Fright Night

This one is in honor of Halloween. And it really is a snapshot. I've posted it before, but it always gives me a chuckle. It's a snap of myself and my younger cousin back in 1950-something, getting ready for trick-or-treat night. I'm the one on my knees in a (believe it or not) cat costume, sharpening my claws on my cousin's five- or six-year-old body!

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books, and as she says: "To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online."

  1. This looks straight out of The Wizard of Oz.

  2. That clown outfit is so retro and a little spooky. What is it with clowns? Your cat costume is a little more my taste. LOL

  8. Yes, well. I remember this. I also remember my mother not wanting to dress me up in anything "scary" hence the clown get-up. Now, tell me, what is scarier than a demented looking clown that appears to have escaped from some low budget slasher movie? You know, I never did like clowns -- wonder if this costume had anything to do with that?
