SkyWatch Friday: Storm Front

There were rain storms blowing across the area earlier this week, and these are a couple of shots I took from our balcony one morning. Color shots, not black and white; although the weather system turned the whole world black and white for the day. Very depressing. Fortunately, we've been having a little nicer weather lately -- color has returned to our lives!

  1. The black-and-white effect fits these photos perfectly.

If I were firmly ensconced in the sky,
Earth wouldn’t matter, and I’ll tell you why:

I would be dancing with millions of stars,
Or whirling around from Venus to Mars,

Then I’d consort with a comet or two—
Life would be good, from my point of view!

  2. I adore trees and seeing these and then your lovely blog background, nice balance~

  3. Gorgeous!

Visiting late from Skywatch, hope you can take a peek at my skywatch entry also. Thanks. Have a great weekend.

  4. These are really pretty photos, though. They would be lovely framed.

  5. These are dramatic shots of the sky as the weather front moved through. The nearly monochrome nature of the pictures adds to their impact. I am glad, however, that color has returned to your part of our world.
