REDNESDAY: 9 January 2013

I haven't done a REDNESDAY post in a VERY long time, but I'm feeling very reddish today! Also never really did any Christmas posting this year -- the time just got away from me.  So here's a shot of my nutcracker collection (some of it!) adorning our fireplace this year. Lots of red on all the little guys.  (Click on images to enlarge.)

The print over the fireplace isn't very Christmas-y, I know (or very red) -- it stays there year-round.

This guy is one of my favorites.  I believe he's meant to be a king of some sort, but I always think of him as the Drum Major.

And now, after un-decorating and de-Christmas-ing, this is the only holiday-ish item we still have around the house.  Still looks pretty cheery, though.  And very RED-ish!

  1. Enjoyed seeing your nut-cracker collection. I still have one of my poinsettia plants from two years ago. It is so pretty and green. However, it has not bloomed again.

  2. It's never too late to do a Christmas post -- or a Rednesday post for that matter.
