Shopping Blues

Blue Monday is hosted weekly by Smiling Sally.
To see more offerings, or to participate yourself,
please head on over to her blog.

We've had a few very nice, sunny days. Still much too cold for my taste, but at least we've been able to get out and about, and the snow is mostly gone. Well, except for those huge sooty piles of icy mess here and there. I'm trying to ignore them, although when we're out shopping that gets a little difficult. But sometimes, even though weather conditions may not be ideal, they do provide a few giggles. Like this shopping cart - the poor thing looks exhausted, doesn't it? Well, hey, I feel the same way after fighting for a space in those snow-filled parking lots! (Click on photo to enlarge.)

Shadow Shot Sunday is a weekly photo meme hosted by Hey Harriet. To see many, many more shadow shots or to contribute some yourself, head on over to her blog.

  6. Hi Joy, Great shadow shot---but you are right.. That cart needs some help and some LOVE.

Gads---seeing all of that nasty snow left.... I love snow--but not when it looks like that.

  9. So pathetic! Of course, I have a tendency to feel sorry for inanimate objects but it is a sad little photo.

  12. That blue is such a cheerful color, that it's hard for me to say it's sad, Joy; perhaps, it's only taking a short nap! Happy New Year and Happy Blue Monday.

  17. Poor thing. Looks like it shopped til it dropped. Just laid itself down in the snow and died. LOL

Makes an interesting pattern of shadows, though. Thanks for stopping by at mine.
