And today, it's even more definitely for Mother, Mom, Mamma, Mommie because today would have been my mother's 91st birthday. I miss her so much, and this is one of my favorite photos of her. She was probably about twenty (or maybe younger) in this one, and the photographer must have said something really funny to inspire that grin -- generally, she hated having her picture taken.

A lovely tribute Joy and thank you for honouring ABC Wednesday with this precious occasion. It always interests me to read what we all call our mothers - mine was always Mum whilst Jon refers to his as Mam. Like you, my mum is no longer here but I know she is in another place watching over me. I hope as you think of her today the happy memories you have will be a source of comfort.
