This time of year, the trees out in front of our building are usually full of birds around sunset. This flock stopped by yesterday evening for a little rest and relief from the high winds we were having. Didn't stay long. I always wonder where they're going.
We get flocks of crows like that in our neighborhood and are they ever noisy!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo! Thanks for sharing.

Oh, look at those bare trees! Out here in southern California we don't tend to have leafless trees, but I definitely miss seeing all four seasons!
ReplyDeleteThe silhouettes against the sky are awesome...the birds almost look like they're part of the trees.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see a flock of birds in trees, I'm reminded of the old eucalyptus trees that used to border my home in the foothills...and the hawks that used to perch atop them, lurking. They were kind of scary!
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT
Cool picture. It does remind me of the movie "The Birds" though...lol...
ReplyDeleteI love trees and birds. I like how your picture has a silhouette feel to it.
ReplyDeleteNice! We get large flocks of robins during the winter. They are usually looking for trees with fruit or berries. It's nice to see the sky even slightly alive in the cold winters around here (Chicago).
ReplyDeleteWe have some like that in our trees and I'm sure they fly back and forth just to taunt the cats.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's a great shot! I have one almost exactly like it from late last year. I've thought about posting it but just hadn't gotten to it yet.
ReplyDeleteHere's mine for this week: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2011/02/saturday-snapshot-february-26.html
Great photo. I love how they all arrive and leave together!
ReplyDeleteThat's a little eerie looking. Great shot!
