Almost decided not to post an Outdoor Wednesday photo today. I've had a cold for the last week or so, and really haven't spent any time outdoors. But I found a couple of shots from last winter, so I thought I'd just use those. (Click on photos to enlarge.)
One of the nice things about living in a high-rise is the great view we get of the sky - especially in winter when the leaves have all fallen and left the trees bare and easy to see through. Our balcony faces almost due east, so that means the end of this rainbow probably lies somewhere in the Potomac - George Washington would be pleased.

This is wonder-filled! I can't think of a time when I have seen a rainbow in Winter! Thank you for sharing and I hope you feel better soon!

I'm sorry about your cold, Joy, but I'm sure glad you posted this beautiful rainbow. Have some chicken soup.
ReplyDeleteGlad you felt like showing these great sights. Trust you are feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, Neat that you signed up for Holidailies... Writing is where your gifts lie. You should enjoy that --even if it adds more to your 'list'...
ReplyDeleteLove the winter rainbow also. We have had nothing for rain here for the past 2 days. This morning the sun came out--and it is just so gorgeous, but horribly windy...
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Betsy
You captured great views of this rainbow. I'm glad you posted them even if they were taken last year.
ReplyDeleteHow did I not know there are rainbows in winter? I mean, we have them in Florida, but our weather is a tad different. Lovely, thanks for sharing and hope you feel even better soon!
ReplyDeleteJoy, your rainbow shots are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you've been not feeling well. Hope your cold is much better soon. My husband was sick before Thanksgiving, and this is a miserable time to not feel well. Sending warm hugs your way...
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
